Our Man at NEWMARKET Dave Youngman with ACTION OUT ON THE NEWMARKET GALLOPS

IT was damp and chilly out on the
gallops here at early this morning but the show must go on, the
general morale of all the fraternity is very good and everyone is
getting on preparing their for racing to return. We fully expect there
to be less horses in training and a few smaller trainers to go from the
training ranks, hopefully, it will not affect us too badly here at HQ.

CHARLIE Appleby had QUORTO in strong
work and the son of Dubawi stretched out in very pleasing fashion showing he
has fully recovered from the injury that curtailed his racecourse appearances
last season. PINATUBO continue to disappoint me as he has not in my opinion
come to hand just yet, time is still on his side and hopefully he will rekindle
the spark that made him a standout two-year-old last season.

had a team of select
workers out including WALDKONIG, ENEMY and DUBAI WARRIOR who all worked in good
style for the Clarehaven handler. Filly HEIRESS looked impressive in her work
and is getting her summer coat through nicely, this daughter of Kingman is out
of the mare Love Divine and will be ready to do herself justice when racing
resumes. PATROLMAN is a lovely juvenile bay colt in the Gosden string that is
going along nicely in it's early work, he is by out of a Barathea
mare and owned by Godolphin.

WILLIAM and Mo Haggas have in FAVORITE
MOON a well handicapped horse that is working especially well in their string,
this horse was gelded during the and off a mark of 78 is showing itself
here on the Newmarket gallops to be better than that mark. the Somerville Lodge
trainer will place this horse to advantage with no trouble.

put good work this morning
into the Queen's colt FORMALITY on the gallop known as between the ditches,
this gallop run between the Rowley Mile and July course, the son of had
just the one outing here at HQ last season but showed today how he has improved
during the winter and now look a colt full of potential.

Keep well and safe everone
