Ground vital to Vintage Ascot bid

The Ribblesdale Stakes on day three of is the target for Vintage Folly although the ground may result in a change of plan.

“I think we will probably look towards the Ribblesdale, but I think she does look to be a soft ground filly so we will just have to see,” he said, as reported by Sky Sports.

“They are talking about the ground being firm at Ascot at the moment, so they would need an awful lot of rain.

“If the soft ground didn't come, we could go down the route and run in the Hoppings Stakes on the all-weather or look at the Newbury race.”

Vintage Folly claimed a win on the all-weather track at Newcastle in November.
