Jet Setting set for Newmarket outing

Trainer Adrian Keatley has revealed that Jet Setting could compete in next month's Group Two Dubai 100 Challenge Stakes at .

The three-year-old emerged victorious in the Irish 1,000 Guineas at the in May, but she has followed up that success with back-to-back sixth-place finishes in the Coronation Stakes at in June, and last weekend's Matron Stakes at .

Despite the disappointment last time out, Keatley was impressed by the bay filly's overall performance at Leopardstown, but he conceded that she needed softer ground to perform at her very best.

The trainer said: “We thought she ran well, she was actually the only one on the bridle two (furlongs) out. Our filly likes to be chased, but Christophe (Soumillon) was still sitting pretty two out. She needs softer ground to be seen at her best and it had dried to nearly good.”

Keatley went on to confirm that the Irish horse was suffering no ill effects from the race and her next outing is likely to be the meeting at Newmarket on October 7.

He added: “She's come out of it fine and we're hopeful that she might go to Newmarket on Dewhurst weekend as there's a seven-furlong race we could supplement her for.”
