The opening day of Royal Ascot was one of the best in recent years, three of the first four race top-class Group 1 races, Baaeed extending his unbeaten to eight in the Queen Anne Stakes, Nature Strip’s emphatic win in the King’s Stand Stakes and Coroebus adding to his 2000 Guineas win in a very tight finish to the St James’s Palace Stakes.
