WINCANTON, MARCH 7
I WASN’T expecting a massive crowd at Wincanton but got a nice surprise to see plenty of people had turned out for the six-race card.
I’m told the good turn-out was due to coming together of various concessions and reciprocals, it just goes to show if you offer people value, they’ll come. Sadly, the first race, the Salisbury Hospice Novices’ Hurdle was a bit of non-event. There were just three runners of which Paul Nicholls’ Largy Poet the prohibitive 1/6 favourite duly sauntered home under Harry Cobden...
