HERE is nothing like the Greyhound Derby. Or the Epsom Derby.
They are both great sporting occasions, very much part of the British sporting fabric, and, in the case of the Greyhound Derby, almost 100 years old having first been staged at White City, London, in 1927. By that stage Epsom itself had been going well over 100 years given its first running was in 1780.
