Andy Newton’s Cheltenham ITV Racing Tips: Showcase Meeting Day Two:

STOCK - Cheltenham

13:10 – Cheltenham: William Hill Each Epic Boosts Novices’ Limited Handicap Chase (GBB Race) Class 3 (4yo+), 2m 4f ITV

O’MOORE PARK (e/w) is chanced here at a price with Sean Bowen an eye-catching booking for local trainer Martin Keighley.

The pair teamed up to take this in 2022 (Found On) too and Bowen also won the prize in 2024.

Yes, this former Willie Mullins runner is 0-14 over fences, but has only had one run for his new yard.

That came when last of three to Country Mile at Uttoxeter earlier this month over 2m, a trip that would have been too short.

So with that run under his belt, dropped 3lbs in the ratings and up in distance – better is expected.

He’s also got fair form here at Cheltenham, despite not winning, running 3rd in the 2025 Jack Richards (off 6lbs higher).

Plus ran 2nd here at the 2025 April meeting and was 6th in the Plate at the 2026 Festival to Madara.

Of the rest, De Temps En Temps – another for Martin Keighley – won at this meeting last season over hurdles and is noted too.

While the Henry De Bromhead team took this 12 months ago and try again with the Darragh O’Keeffe-ridden Rockonliam.

🥈Rockonliam
🥉De Temps En Temps

13:45 – Cheltenham: William Hill Extra Places Every Day Novices’ Hurdle (GBB Race) Class 2 (4yo+), 3m ITV

ROAD TO WEMBLEY can hit the back of the net in what is probably a race to not get too involved in.

He was a beaten favourite the last day at Worcester but had excuses when struck into his left hind.

Before that had won at Worcester and had another of today’s runners Newbrook Diamond in-behind that day.

The pick is 7lbs worse off, but did have 5 1/2 lengths in-hand that day. Sean Bowen rides for Olly Murphy and the pair teamed up to win this race in 2023 with Butch.

Irish raider Kashchei is noted too after a good second at Clonmel last time, but is up another 6lbs.

While prolific Point winner Woodstock Octo is worth noting in the market in what probably isn’t going to be a hard race to win.

🥈Woodstock Octo
🥉Newbrook Diamond

14:20 – Cheltenham: Pertemps Network Handicap Hurdle (Pertemps Hurdle Series Qualifier, GBB Race) Class 2 (4yo+), 3m ITV

MOON ROCKET, GOLD FOR ALEC and HANG IN THERE are all small plays at decent prices in a race that looks super-tricky.

Yes, a lot of the focus will be on the Dan Skelton runner and course winner Ace Of Spades, but you just get the impression the yard might play their hand with this one later in the season.

Seaniecon for the O’Neill yard and Idaho Fire, who is on a three-timer, are others to note – as is the old boy Gowel Road, having run some of his best race here.

Moon Rocket though is slightly interesting despite being pulled up the last twice – including in the Jack Richards here at the Festival in March.

But has been freshened up with 192 days off and has gone well off a lay-off in the past – winning first time out for the last two seasons.

He’s also down to a mark of 132, which is 2lbs lower than his last win.

Gold For Alec is another to note at a price – having fallen heavily last time at Chepstow when probably booked for third.

But ran well (3rd) at this meeting last year over 2m on the Friday and looks the sort to enjoy the longer trip.

Finally the 12yold Hang In There looks a big price too, coming from last year’s winning stable (Emma Lavelle).

Of course, he’s getting on a bit but is another that’s gone well fresh before – winning first time out last term.

And heads here on a mark of 136, which is 11lbs lower than when successful over fences 12 months ago. Ben Jones rides.

Guide To The Jumps 2026/27

14:55 – Cheltenham: William Hill Best Odds Guaranteed Handicap Chase (GBB Race) Class 2 (4yo+), 3m 1f ITV

UNCLE BERT and MOON D’ORANGE are the two chanced here – in what is another very open race.

The first-named comes from the Twiston-Davies yard, who are doing well at the moment and is often best caught fresh.

He won first time out at Aintree last season and is only 3lbs higher. Softer ground is fine too and the stable won this in 2017 with Cogry.

Then Moon D’Orange has been frustrating – coming here 0-15 in recent runs.

With his last win at Trials Day here at Cheltenham off 135 and is now rated 125.

He was 3rd in the Plate here in March too and this is only his second start for the Christian Williams yard, who could find the key to getting him winning again.

🥇UNCLE BERT
🥈MOON D’ORANGE
🥉Katate Dori

15:30 – Cheltenham: Masterson Holdings Hurdle (GBB Race) Class 2 (4yo), 2m ½f ITV

LA LUNA ARTISTA looks the value call in a race where you can make a case for all bar In The Minus and Tunisya (who will probably win now – ha).

This Jane Williams runner ran well to be 5th in the Triumph Trial here in January and backed that up with an easy win in the Adonis Hurdle at Kempton.

Where One Horse Town was well back that day. She meets that rival on 7lbs worse terms, but is a bigger price in the betting here and looks the value to uphold that form.

She’s also still only had five career starts over hurdles so there should be more to come.

Of the rest, the top-rated Lord Byron would be the one to beat on his 5th in the Triumph Hurdle and then running 2nd to King Rasko Grey at Punchestown.

But the niggle for me – is that why isn’t he shorter in the market? And he was well-beaten in the Persian War last time out.

Indian River and North Shore, for the in-form Skelton’s are others that will command a lot of interest.

🥇LA LUNA ARTISTA
🥈North Shore
🥉Lord Byron

Andy Newton’s Doncaster ITV Racing Tips: Futurity Trophy Day On Town Moor

12:55 – Doncaster: Sky Sports Racing Sky 415 Handicap Class 2 (3yo+, 0–105), 5f ITV

ROSARIO (e/w) is a very tentative pick in a race with many chances as I think he’s the most likely to run his race.

Yes, he was down the field in the Portland here two runs ago, but on the whole he’s not been far way in his other five races since June.

These included a win at Sandown at the end of August and the 2nd Lipsink has won since. He’s only 2lbs higher than that win.

Plus also ran in this race in 2025 (10th) but is back rated 7lbs lower this time and heads here having run a close 3rd at Ascot two weeks ago.

Of the rest, Al Shabab Storm probably brings the best form to the table after a close 3rd to Coul Angel at York last time and Harry Vigors takes off a handy 5lbs again.

Milford is starting to look well-treated too off 86, but is 0-21 coming here.

While the Kevin Philippart De Foy team have been firing in the winners of late, so their Sovereign Spell could outrun his odds off the back of a gelding operation.

🥇ROSARIO (e/w)
🥈Al Shabab Storm
🥉 Sovereign Spell

13:30 – Doncaster: William Hill Futurity Trophy Stakes (Group 1) Class 1 (2yo), 1m ITV

NOBLE EXHIBIT can give Aidan O’Brien his 13th win in this end-of-season Group One – and then shorten up for the Epsom Derby next season.

He’s already around 16/1 for the Derby, behind his stablemate Darkness Falls (4/1) but a win should see his price get a bit closer to the top of the market.

O’Brien win this with Camelot and Auguste Rodin, who both went into take the Derby.

Noble Exhibit heads here having won his last two in decent fashion and with the 3rd last time (Beresford Stakes) Drumbeat winning the Zetland Stakes easily, the form is solid.

The Beresford Stakes has also been a good guide for this in recent years with winners Hawk Mountain, Hotazhell and Luxembourg winning both.

Ryan Moore rides and despite the likes of Burning Up and recent G1 Woodbine winner Al Hudaiba looking fair challengers, I think there should be more to come from this Frankel colt and so Noble Exhibit can put up another fine display here.

Oh, and even gate 6 looks a plus – as 3 of the last 7 came from this berth and 8 of the last 11 between berths 4-7.

Of the rest, Breacher has been crying out for a longer trip, so should be better over today’s 7f and can hit the frame too.

🥇NOBLE EXHIBIT
🥈Breacher
🥉Burning Up

14:05 – Doncaster: William Hill Remembering Sue Wright Prospect Stakes (registered as the Doncaster Stakes, Listed Race) Class 1 (2yo), 6f ITV

BENGAL TIGER can roar home in this Listed race and give Aidan O’Brien his first success in this since Call Me Teddy in 2020.

This No Nay Never colt was one of the most impressive maiden winners you’ll see all year – when bolting up by 12 lengths at Naas.

He was entered up a bit at Champions Day last week, but connections clearly felt he needed another week and comes here as the one to beat.

That last win also came on soft ground, so conditions will be fine – Ryan Moore riding is the icing on the cake.

While the final plus is that 9 of the last 11 winners were drawn low (5 or lower), so gate 1 is perfect.

On form, Goffs Million runner-up Hi Corbett Court looks his main threat, but is drawn higher in 8.

But it’s worth noting, as well as low draws doing best – in the last 6 years the winner have come from just gates 2 (Crystal Queen) or 4 (Elevating)

However, despite this Bengal Tiger can still land the Frosties here and rates one of the best bets of the weekend.

🥇BENGAL TIGER (NAP)
🥈Hi Corbett Court
🥉Crystal Queen
