AL AASY put himself right in the St Leger picture by winning the Group 3 Bahrain Trophy in a quick time.
You don’t get too many staying races over 1m5f which could account for his speed figure of 112 but it was an impressive effort. Jim Crowley didn’t have to throw everything at him to secure the win.
He has some pretty smart opposition waiting in the final Classic of the season with the likes of Santiago and Serpentine possibly lining up for Aidan ...
