Ben`s Tips for Friday & Saturday

There are plenty of reasons to suspect STAR OF RORY is well handicapped at the moment and he is probably just waiting for the right race to drop his way. He ran in a small field handicap over course and distance last time but had the misfortune to bump into a couple of rivals who had plenty in hand. It may seem naive to tip him in a 14 runner heavy ground handicap hurdle but I'm not convinced that this race is all that strong.

John Groucott's charge is guaranteed to go on the ground, has some vital poundage taken off via Jordan Nailor's claim and is certainly in form. He looks a solid each way play in an open race.

Saturday

It's a good Saturday of which isn't common comment at this time of year and punters have a wealth of options to chose from. My eye will definitely be on the Dublin Racing but my money will probably lie elsewhere.

One place it will definitely be invested is and in particular on BLAKENEY POINT who only received a 2lb hike for his cosy success over course and distance last time out. Brain Hughes keeps the partnership intact which is a big bonus after he gave him such a canny ride last time. Obviously not wanting to hit the front too soon he gave his mount a pull or two in the straight which meant he could deliver him late. He still wondered about after the last when he hit the front and only held on by a narrow margin. The handicapper could only bump him up 2lb and such a rise means he still looks very well handicapped compared to his flat rating.
