Ludlow's Christmas meet is always one of the highlights on my racing calendar and it is all the more sweeter as I will be there today. The horse I am most looking forward to seeing is GETAWEAPON for the Kim Bailey team. This Getaway mare showed plenty of promise on debut when runner up to a good one at Chepstow in a bumper but made no mistake at Hereford the next day. She didn't jump the best that day but I really liked the way she picked up for David Bass after she had made a mistake. That change of gear suggested there is a fair engine there and Kim Bailey has already stated he thinks plenty of her so with that in mind I think she is the bet in the 1.20.
Later on the card I will be eager to see how LISA DE VASSY gets on on her stable debut for Venetia Williams. When under the care of Paul Nicholls I thought she had more to offer off her current mark and with the form of her last run working out very well I think she should be winning off this mark. She handles heavy ground and her connections won this race last year so with that in mind, I hazard a guess she may just be laid out for this today.
