The progressive Archie Watson-trained sprinter Highland
Dress is likely to be seen next at Royal Ascot on Saturday with connections
eyeing a tilt at the Wokingham.
The four-year-old, a half-brother to the hugely progressive
Make A Challenge, one of last year's most progressive horses, has enjoyed a
good start to his career with Watson.
Runner-up on his first start for the yard at Southwell in
March, he quickly built on that effort with an easy win at the same course a
few days later before taking his form up a further notch last week at
Newmarket.
The son of Shamardal was always going well under Adam
McNamara and quickly saw off his rivals in the style of one with much more to
offer this year.
Confirming plans, Cosmo Charlton, racing manager for leading horse racing syndicate Hambleton Racing said “Highland Dress appears a progressive horse and he'll be an exciting runner at Ascot for his owners. The Wokingham is very much the plan.”
