Aidan O'Brien has hinted Rhododendron could go to the Oaks later this season after a strong finish in the 1,000 Guineas.
The three-year-old was sent off a short-priced favourite to claim the mares' Classic at Newmarket on Sunday, only to be edged out by stablemate Winter coming towards the line.

The daughter of Galileo was closing in on Winter heading for the post as she tried to make amends having got into trouble earlier in the race, but ran out of track.
O'Brien says he liked how Rhododendron finished the race and expects jockey Ryan Moore to give him the thumbs up when it comes to deciding whether she should run in the Oaks at Epsom in June.
“I haven't talked to Ryan yet, but I'd say he'll be very happy with her. She was coming home very well. Ryan is always delighted when he learns about a horse and thinks they're going to come forward,” said O'Brien.
“Ryan thought going out that she would stay very well in the future and we thought she could be an Oaks filly.”
