Crowley pleased with Maktoum role

Champion jockey Jim Crowley was delighted to accept the opportunity to become number one jockey for owner .

“I spoke to Jim two nights ago and he confirmed he would be happy to do it,” he said. “It's very exciting and obviously we're thrilled to have him on board. He's worked his way up and proven himself to be a top jockey and he's done a brilliant job this year.”

And Crowley felt the news just added to what has already been an excellent year.

“I'm very much looking forward to it. I'm chuffed to pieces,” he said. “On the back of such a good year, this time of year everyone is trying to get sorted for next season but it was nice to get the offer.”
