Punchestown next for Bonny Kate

Bonny Kate looks set for an outing at the after her disappointment in the Irish .

The six-year-old was sent off as the 13/2 favourite for the showpiece event having won her three previous starts this season but was pulled up.

felt the ground was a little fast for the daughter of Beneficial but trainer insist the mare is in decent shape.

“She's fine and seems OK,” he said. “Sean (Flanagan) just thought the ground was a tad quick for her, but she travelled well and jumped well as far as she went.

“He pulled her up, a bit early perhaps, but he felt there was no point going on. She wasn't going to be in the first six.”

And now it looks as though Meade will send her to the venue where she won back on January 31 this year.

“I would imagine she'd go to Punchestown,” he added. “There are plenty of races for her still and she's a novice, so I'll say we'll probably take our chance somewhere else again.”
