HURRICANE BLOWS AT TOP SPEED

John Anthony records his latest stopwatch sensations

Three horses shared the honours for best performance on the clock this month with HURRICANE LANE, LAVENDER’S BLUE and BENBATL all rated 78.
The last two were first and second in the Celebration Mile at Goodwood in late August when there was just a short-head between them. Benbatl is likely to have another productive spring in Dubai where he picked up a couple of Group 2 wins over slightly longer distances.
As for Hurricane Lane, it’s not clear if he’ll head for the Arc at Longchamp and Godolphin’s No1 jock...
