Trainer Aidan O'Brien has won the Moyglare Stud Stakes an incredible nine times so his runners – Mother Earth, Snowfall and Divinely has to be respected, but on what we've seen to date none of the three looks real Ballyboyle superstars in the making. It's also interesting that jockey doesn't ride any of them – instead he gets the leg-up on the Donnacha O'Brien runner – Shale. This 2 year-old has won two of her four starts, including a G3 over this trip at two runs back, but last time was firmly put in her place behind the Joseph O'Brien runner – PRETTY GORGEOUS – and it could be more of the same again. This improving filly has only had three career runs, but has won two of them and desite losing to Shale two runs ago, is looking the more progressive of the two now. Shale was 2 1/2 lengths behind the selection last time over this course and distance, so based on that run has plenty in-hand to confirm places. Of the rest, course winners Thunder Beauty, A Ma Chere, Teresa Mendoza and Aunty Bridy are others that cases can be made – espectilly as they are all very lightly-raced (1 or 2 runs) so could easily improve loads from their latest runs.
