Greatrex ready to give Keeper Hill another run

Trainer Warren Greatrex admits Keeper Hill will run in February as he tries to get his stable star ready for the Cheltenham Festival.

The six-year-old won four times in 2017 and is now set to run at Prestbury Park for a second time.

He finished seventh in the Neptune Investment Management Novices’ Hurdle last year and ended the year with a win at Doncaster.

Greatrex has now confirmed Keeper Hill will run in the Towton Novices’ Chase at Wetherby on February 3 or the Reynoldstown at Ascot a fortnight later as he prepares to give his charge one more run before Cheltenham.

He said: “Thankfully we got the Doncaster race out of the way as I wouldn’t want to be running in this ground.

“Regarding races at Cheltenham, he will have entry in the handicaps, the RSA and the National Hunt Chase.”
