There’s so much focus on positive stats in racing. Here at geegeez.co.uk we’re as guilty as anyone of accentuating the upside – because, obviously, that’s where profitability hangs out.
But if finding a bet is a process of elimination then it makes a fair amount of sense to start with the negatives.
After all, groups of horses that very rarely win should be avoided, right?
That’s the premise of today’s article by Dave Renham, in which he highlights his draw/run style combo swerves: those combinations of stall position and early race position that are extremely tough to overcome.
And, as you’ll see, there are……….
a) plenty of them, and
b) no sector of the market is immune to their challenge.
As we begin the transition from summer to autumn and winter games, this is a terrific aide memoire (or new insight) ahead of what is to come – and it can be deployed right away.
