WILLIAM Buick’s aim to ride 200 domestic winners in 2022 was achieved with just two days to spare at Southwell when he rode oddson favourite Zealot for champion all-weather trainer Mick Appleby.
Given Buick had missed the first two and half months due to his commitments riding for his retained owner Godolphin in Dubai, to get to 200 winners with only being able to ride at one meeting per day was a fantastic achievement, and one which Buick will be able to look back on with immense pride. ...
