Andy Newton picks through the trends and stats for Sandown highlight

As well as the Grand National on the first weekend in April, we’ve also got the Scottish version a week later (April 18).
And then, rounding things off at the end of the month, the Bet365 Gold Cup at Sandown – the race that traditionally brings the curtain down on another jumps season in Britain.
With the contest this year on Saturday 25 April.
There is good news though, as jumping fans don’t have to sit twiddling their thumbs for long.
