Recent winners take all in Oaks: Andy Newton picks over some key facts and figures in the Epsom Classics

Wow – it’s June again folks and this month (which also sees my birthday on the final day) is really all about two monster fixtures.

Royal Ascot runs from June 17-21 this year, and the Epsom Derby meeting is a tad later than normal on the June 6 and 7.

With plenty in this edition on the Royal Meeting, I’m going to look at the next two English Classics of the season – and after the ‘boys in blue’ of Godolphin dominated the Guineas – can they follow-up in the longer Derby and Oaks?
This year the Oaks will be run on Friday June 6, with, as always, the Derby following the next day.
