Charity horse Beep Beep Burrow races for first time on Saturday for The Rob Burrow 7 Discretionary Trust

On Saturday 28 January, The Good Racing Co's new fundraising horse, Beep Beep Burrow, will make his debut at Races in front of his namesake Rob Burrow MBE and family for The Rob Burrow 7 Discretionary Trust.   Beep Beep Burrow was due to make his racing debut on January 10th at Doncaster, but he suffered from a minor injury on the day. Having made a full recovery, he is due to race races in the 4.25pm ‘Good Luck Beep Beep Burrow Open Flat' race and will be cheered on from the side lines by Rob and is family, including his wife and children.   In a slight change to past fundraising, money from future membership sales of Beep Beep Burrow will be split between the MND Association and The Rob Burrow 7 Discretionary Trust. Funds raised by the trust, formed in 2020, will go direct to Rob and his family to help them with the challenging costs that come with living with Motor Neurone Disease – everything from medication to accessible housing. Lindsey Burrow says: “Rob and I are really grateful that The Good Racing Company will be donating to Rob's Trust alongside the MND Association. It will make a real difference to the daily life of our family.   Rob's passion for racing grows daily. He's converted the entire family now and we all enjoy a day out at the races. We are all behind Beep Beep Burrow and can't wait to watch him race.”   The Good Racing Co has high hopes for Beep Beep Burrow, who is being trained by Jedd O'Keeffe at High Beck Lodge in Middleham.  It was following a visit to Jedd's stables that Rob's children and wider family named Beep Beep Burrow, which was his Road Runner-inspired nickname when he played for Leeds Rhinos. The five-year-old chestnut gelding – with four white socks – is set to carry on the legacy of Burrow Seven after he was sadly retired due to a repetitive injury.   Beep Beep Burrow is a worthy successor to Burrow Seven and will take over the fundraising efforts for both Rob and the Motor Neurone Disease Association.   His sire is the hugely successful stallion Malinas and his dam is Ballygambon Girl. Malinas is by Lomitas (sire of Danedream) from the family of Monsun. Malinas, who stands at the famous Rathbarry Stud in Ireland began his stallion career in 2021 and has already bred multiple winning jumpers in the UK, Ireland and France including Mister Malarky, Medinas, Union Dues, Dark Raven, Malinda Girl and Mighty Thunder, winner of the Scottish .   Members of The Good Racing Co will be joining Rob at Doncaster Racecourse to cheer on Beep Beep Burrow in his inaugural race.    Rob Burrow said: “Beep Beep Burrow is such an exciting horse and we're all hoping he lives up to his name.  We're very much looking forward to his debut in Doncaster where he'll get his chance to show people just what he can do on the racecourse.”   To start supporting Rob today, buy your Beep Beep Burrow membership at www.thegoodracing.co      Members receive a members-only welcome pack, including a unique member's badge, photo of your horse Beep Beep Burrow, and membership certificate, plus lots of exciting updates and events to get stuck into.
