It’s hard to ignore HIGHFIELD PRINCESS at Doncaster today as her recent form suggests she has to go close here. A recent second at York behind the classy Space Blues was arguably her best bit of form and the way she has improved throughout the season has to bode well for her chances today. She’s tough and versatile in regards tactics which should allow Jason Hart to do what he feels best although I would be surprised if he isn’t sat handy on her. I’d rather a bigger price about her but as she is so consistent I think 5/1 might be the best we get.
LOOK OUT LOUIS looks like a horse who runs best when fresh and I’d like to think connections have purposely saved him for a race like this. His form this year has been good and a 4 length second at Catterick last time isn’t as bad as it looks on paper as the winner has since gone on to run well at a higher level. This stiff 5 ½ furlongs will suit him really well today and I’d like to think he would be in the 3.
