Trials day at Cheltenham is certainly one of the January highlights – this year staged on Saturday 30th – and it is also the final fixture at Prestbury Park until the tapes go up in March for the 2021 Festival.
With the meeting only over one day we are jam-packed with some cracking contests, one of which is the Cotswold Chase, which is billed as a Gold Cup trial. Let’s look at the race in a bit more detail.
