FRANKIE Dettori rode his sixth St Leger win on board the impressive Logician at Doncaster. The evergreen Italian first took the race way back in 1995 – before some of his rival jockeys in the race were even born.
Dettori used all his experience to settle his keen partner early before coming with a powerful run up the straight to win eased down.
Frankie equalled his best ever tally of Group Ones when riding his 16th winner at the highest level at Deauville the next day. There’s every chance he’ll top that target before the season is out.
