I was back in the ring for Cheltenham working for Star Sports betting on the front row. They have a reputation for being fearless layers and I was soon to find out it is well founded. Star Sports boss Ben Keith got stuck into Melon in the opening Supreme Novices’ Hurdle and had it for over £20k at the off. He got off to a flying start when Labaik sprang a 25/1 surprise.
Celebrations all round until news reached him that their pitch on the rail laid a bottle (£200) each...
