Trainer Charlie Fellowes has confirmed Frankie Dettori will ride Prince Of Arran in the Red Sea Turf Handicap in Riyadh this week.
The eight-year-old was will head to Saudi Arabia next weekend, just two weeks after finishing third at Kempton.
Tom Marquand rode him on February 6th in the Unibet Conditions Stakes, with Rainbow Dreamer and Ocean Wind finishing ahead of Fellowes’ charge.
Prince Of Arran is no stranger to long-haul trips and is well-travelled, but his last victory came at Geelong in October 2019.
He has placed in the last three Melbourne Cups and Fellowes is hoping he can come good with Dettori on board this month.
Fellowes told ITV Racing: “He’s in good nick and I’m looking forward to seeing him out there, hopefully, the journey goes well.
“We’ve got Frankie up, which will be interesting. He’s never ridden him before, but you couldn’t have a better jockey in the plate.
“I’m looking forward to it.”
