If you blinked last night you would have missed the price about MONT SEGUR as the 9/2 available was quickly replaced with 2/1. He doesn't offer much value now but I'm overly excited about anything else and I will be disappointed if he doesn't go close on hurdle debut.
I was at Ludlow last year when he dispatched of some good horses with minimum fuss and he left an impression on me that day. His turn of foot was impressive and although the soft ground today will blunt that brazen speed, I do think he is good enough to gain success in a different way. I think connections were aiming at a Listed bumper this Autumn but have had to shelve that idea for whatever reason and they now waste no time sending him over hurdles. It's a good race but I think he's good enough to win.
