Irishman Oisin Murphy retained his Champions Flat Jockey title after rival William Buick was unable to close the gap on Friday.
Murphy finished his campaign at Southwell on Tuesday, claiming two wins before flying to the United States for the Breeders Cup.
The 25-year-old ended the year with 142 wins to his name, while Buick remains on 133 after failing to land a blow at Newcastle on Friday night.
Buick only has seven rides at Doncaster on Saturday, meaning he has no chance of catching his rival and winning his maiden crown.
Murphy will hope to celebrate his latest success by riding The Lir Jet and Kameko to victory at the Breeders' Cup, and he says it is a huge moment for him and his family.
He told Great British Racing: “I'm incredibly proud to have won a second Champion Jockey title and I'm extremely thankful for the team around me that have enabled me to do so – my agent, manager, driver, form-man, and family.
“It's huge to win two jockeys' championships in two years and beyond my wildest dreams. I tried my absolute best to do so and thank you to everyone who has helped along the way. I'm particularly proud of my strike rate for Andrew Balding. Sheikh Fahad allowed me to go wherever I wanted to, and for that, I must thank him and all the team at Qatar Racing too.”
