Magical yet to hit full stride – O’Brien

Trainer Aidan O'Brien has warned Magical's rivals that she is yet to hit top form ahead of Irish Champions Weekend.

The five-year-old has already won six Group One contests but O'Brien is confident she still has another level to step up to.

She has won both of her outings on Irish soil this term, including the Tattersalls at the , and will look to extend that record at on Saturday week.

Magical faces some stiff competition in the Irish Champion Stakes and will be looking to avenge her three-length second to Ghaiyyath in the International at last month.

O'Brien has every confidence in Magical's ability to come out on top this time around and warned “we haven't really seen the best of her yet”.

“She's a great filly and she owes nobody anything. She's raced against the best and we feel that we haven't really seen the best of her yet. Some day when everything falls right, she will be at the height of her powers and we will see that,” O'Brien said.

“We want to get her to show everyone what she shows us at home every day. She's an incredible filly but everyone hasn't really seen her very best yet and it could come one of these days.”
