I thought you could mark up EDINBURGH CASTLE's run at Ascot last
time as he was the only horse to come out of the pack in a race where it paid
to be on the front end. Prior to that race there was plenty of positive vibes
coming out of the Balding camp with jockey Oisin Murphy stating he works like a
better horse and should certainly be well in off 78.
The
prospect of rain shouldn't worry him too much as he has handled a softer
surface previously and he has also secured a low draw which is key around here.
HIs rivals do look exposed albeit in form and I think he may just be hiding
more from the handicapper than them today.
