Lord North takes Prince of Wales’s Stakes

Trainer says he will “look at all possibilities” for Lord North after winning the Prince of Wales's Stakes.

The four-year-old claimed victory by three-and-three-quarter-lengths over Addeybb to extend his winning run to three after topping the field at and .

's trip proved to be a tough one with the majority of the field virtually in a line with just a furlong to go but jockey James Doyle kicked on at just the right time to take the top prize.

Doyle said: “He settled beautifully out the back. We saved plenty of ground and quickened up like a really nice horse. He travelled into it great and showed a good turn of foot.”

Meanwhile, Gosden was reluctant to commit to any future plans and insists they will monitor him over the coming days.

Gosden said: “This horse had to be gelded and he is a great character now, Bangkok set a very strong pace and it was an end-to-end gallop that suited us. We will look at all possibilities for him and we will watch him over the next 10 days because two quick races like this one and Haydock can make them lose their zest.”
