Frankie Dettori has been drafted in to ride Sceptical in the King's Stands Stakes at Royal Ascot on Tuesday.
The four-year-old has attracted a huge amount of attention during the early stages of his career after winning four of his five starts.
After sealing three successive victories on the all-weather over the winter, he proved his versatility by triumphing in the Woodlands Stakes on his turf debut at Naas on Monday.
Joey Sheridan has steered Sceptical to glory on his last two outings but 7lb claimers are unable to resume riding in Britain until June 22, therefore making him unavailable for Tuesday's run at Ascot.
Connections have moved quickly to find a replacement and it comes in the extremely reliable form of Dettori.
A tweet from the Hilltop account read: “Sceptical is in great form after his win @NaasRacecourse on Monday and will head to @Ascot for the Kings Stand Stakes next Tuesday. Unfortunately due to @BHAPressOffice rules @joeysheridan8 will not be able to ride but he will now be ridden by the brilliant @FrankieDettori.”
