Grand National the goal for One For Arthur

One For Arthur will compete at either or before going for glory for a second time in April.

The Lucinda Russell-trained 10-year-old won the showpiece in 2017, but has made just five competitive starts since.

One For Arthur, who came sixth in last year's , is set for one more race before this year's edition of the world's most famous steeplechase and Kelso is Russell's preference.

“We've just entered him for the Grand National and we've also entered him for the National Trial at Haydock [on February 15]. His preferred option is the race at Kelso [the Edinburgh Gin Chase on February 13], but we've got snow here this morning and it makes sense to keep all bases covered,” she said, as reported by Sky Sports.

She added: “We've been saying for a while we think he's moving better and feels better this year. If we can keep him that way between now and April, I think we'll go there with a great chance.”
