Rajasinghe will be primed and ready to go for the 2000 Guineas at Newmarket, according to Richard Spencer.
The Choisir colt looked sharp on Wednesday in a racecourse gallop and connections are now looking towards a shot at the Classic for three-year-olds.
Spencer’s plan is to keep him fresh for the May 5 Group One, something he feels will only benefit the three-year-old.
Having gauged his form at his Albert House Stables, the trainer admits he is feeling upbeat ahead of next month’s Classic.
“We’ve just been trying to get him away and put an edge on him before the Guineas,” he said. “The plan has always been to give him a racecourse gallop prior to running there.
“Our bubble hasn’t been burst yet. We’re going there a fresh horse and the horse has shown he prefers running on better ground.”
