Shaneshill can fulfil promise – Mullins

Trainer Willie believes Shaneshill can start fulfilling his early potential ahead of the French .

The eight-year-old won just one of his six starts last season but claimed his first win of this term by holding off L?Ami Serge by three-quarters of a length last month.

Shaneshill has in just one Grade One event as he prepares for Sunday?s Grande Course de Haies d?Auteuil, which is better known as the French Champion Hurdle.

Mullins is hopeful that he can start to fulfil the potential he showed in the early stages of his career as the summer comes around.

“He's been hard to train during the , but I think he's going to be a lot easier to train in this summer weather,” Mullins said.

“He promised me an awful lot early on. He was second three times at the .

“Now I think he's a bit stronger and maybe he can go through with the promise he showed me.”
