Being March, and the month of the Cheltenham Festival, it does seem a bit odd talking about a flat turf race – but the Lincoln Handicap is a bit earlier this year on Saturday, March 23, and staged just over a week after the dust would have settled at Prestbury Park.
The 1m Doncaster race, which is the big turf curtain raiser on the flat, will be run almost a month earlier this year with Easter falling in March in 2024 too.
