Connections will now play a waiting game with Solstice Star and not run him in Saturday's Dribuild Limited Welsh Champion Hurdle.
The six-year-old won the the Steel Plate And Sections Handicap Hurdle at Cheltenham on Saturday – his fifth straight triumph since November 4.
The son of Kayf Tara now has a handicap mark of 134 and trainer Martin Keighley has decided against sending his star performer to Ffos Las this weekend.
Next up will be Prestbury Park but it remains to be seen which race the prolific winner will take on at the Festival.
“He won't go to Ffos Las. He's got a mark of 134 now and that will be right on the borderline of the likes of the Coral Cup and County Hurdle, but it should get him in the Martin Pipe,” said Keighley. “We'll enter him in them all and hope to get in one of them.
“He's been unbelievable this season, he keeps surprising me. He won as easy as ever on Saturday in his toughest race, so he's obviously thriving and full of confidence.
“He certainly deserves his place at the Festival and I just hope there's a bit of cut in the ground.”
