Connections have revealed that both Gleneagles and stablemate Found will miss Epsom to concentrate on racing at Royal Ascot.
Owners Coolmore Stud revealed on Twitter on Monday morning that Found will not be supplemented for the Investec Derby field and will also sidestep the Investec Oaks 24 hours earlier.
The three-year-old Galileo colt will now look towards the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot in a couple of week’s time.
Gleneagles was expected to be in the Derby line-up at the confirmation stage but Coolmore feel he would be best served over a mile in the St James’s Palace Stakes at Ascot.
The duo’s withdrawal means that trainer Aiden O’Brien will now have three charges in the Derby, with Giovanni Canaletto, Hans Holbein and Kilimanjaro set to run in the prestigious race on Saturday.
