WE have to go back to July for the best performances on the clock since the last edition with the final days of Glorious Goodwood looming large.
WHIRL (127) stands out head and shoulders above the rest thanks to her efforts in winning the Group 1 Nassau Stakes on July 31. The quality of the fillies she beat is debatable but she was on another level and is a typical Ballydoyle improver.
