We had the first two days’ figures from the Cheltenham Festival as we went to press and they strongly suggest that JAGWAR should have a crack at this year’s Grand National.
JP McManus now has three of the first four in the betting for Aintree’s big race and the Ultima on Tuesday highlighted the hopes of Jagwar who was a close second and JOHNNYWHO who looks a different horse after a wind operation.
Because of the weight he was giving away Jagwar clocked an impressive 161 while Johnnywho gets a 154 ahead of Iroko on 153.
