RACING AHEAD VERDICT: Trainer John Gosden has his horses in decent order during this period after racing was halted and seeing he's also won the Classic Trial 3 times since 2014, then his HYPOTHETICAL gets the nod here. Frankie Dettori, who rode a winner for Gosden yesterday, gets the leg-up and looks the sort to progress onto bigger and better things after a smooth debut win at Chelmsford back in December. The step up from 1m to 1m2f is sure to suit and with Gosden, who has a 36% record with his 3 year-olds at the track, seeminly having a number of horses to pick to run here – the fact he's opted for this 3 year-old could be significant to think he feels the horse has improved and will also benefit for the extra yardage. Max Vega, from the Ralph Beckett yard, can give the pick most to think about. He's won his last two in good fashion – inculding a Group Three last time out at HQ. But the last of those wins was on soft ground and this will be his first try on an AW surface. Of the rest, Born With Pride was also a nice winner on debut and commands respect from the William Haggas yard, while with a 26%record with their 3 year-olds at Kempton, then trainer Charlie Appleby (Bright Melody) is another handlers to note, while the Balding team won this race 12 months ago and try to follow-up – this time with the consistent Berlin Tango.
