Robert Cooper, Sky Sports’ Racing correspondent, tells us of his road adventures

Only very occasionally do I feel I’ve missed out when, during some of the year’s mega-race meetings, I am sent to some long forgotten outpost to report for Sky Sports Racing. For instance when top hats were being thrown in the air at Epsom on Derby day, I was having a splendid time at Worcester. More toppers went skywards at Royal Ascot, when I was probably enjoying an ice cream – or two – at Uttoxeter and Ffos Las.
