Ryan Moore Favourite To Win The Silver Saddle

Ryan Moore (7/4) heads the betting market to collect the Silver Saddle as the top-scoring individual rider, closely trailed by fellow team member and captain Saffie Osborne (5/2).

With Great Britain & Ireland expected to dominate the team points, all three of their riders occupy the top spots in the market.

As this year’s Epsom Oaks-winning rider Dylan Browne McMonagle is also third best in the Silver Saddle Shergar Cup odds market.

Moore last appeared at the Shergar Cup in 2006 and that year he also won the Silver Saddle with 50 points.

GB & Ireland Big Favourites To Be Leading Shergar Cup Team

Moore, McMonagle and Osborne hot favourites to lead home team GB & Ireland in the 2026 Shergar Cup

Great Britain & Ireland (2/5) are heavy odds-on favourites to claim the trophy, backed by a powerhouse trio of top jockeys – Ryan Moore, Dylan Browne McMonagle and Saffie Osborne – whose experience of Ascot will be a valuable asset.

Europe (6/1) sits as the second-favourite, while both the Hong Kong Jockey Club (8/1) and Rest of the World (8/1) enter as longer-priced contenders.

The GB & Ireland team last won the Shergar Cup in 2022, with Jamie Spencer as captain.

While since the event was first run in 2000, they’ve been the top team four times.
