The going for day one of Royal Ascot, Tuesday, June 16, is: Good to Firm, Good in places.
This signals the ground being firmer than it was the last couple of days.
Such a change in the ground means that the ground will be quicker, potentially benefitting some of the British runners.
The quicker the ground becomes, will go against some French raiders and those who would prefer soft ground.
Those that will benefit are also the Australian competitors in the sprint races.

Aussies at Ascot
Such quickening ground at Ascot will be beneficial for the Australian raiders in the King Charles III Stakes.
Overpass and Asfoora are no strangers to fast ground and this has seen them strengthen in the five-furlong feature.
Japanese challenger Santono Reve will be another one who will relish the drying ground.
Quickening ground would go against Arc hero Daryz in the Prince Of Wales on the second day of the meeting.
Current race favourite Ombudsman won the race on Good-to-Firm ground last year and will be hoping the light shower on Wednesday will not worsen.
