John Anthony cheers gelded Champion Stakes winner and middle-distance superstar’s promised return next year

A MID all the triple-figure shocks on Champions Day at Ascot, there was at least one piece of form that looks rock solid. That was the brilliant CALANDAGAN winning what looked a decent renewal of the Champion Stakes and clocked a very handy 127 in the process.
