PROUD ARCHI is lurking on a dangerous mark, if able to bounce back to his very best he should take all the beating in the 1.45 at Beverley this afternoon. Michael Dods’ horse was rated 87 at his peak and was 76 this time last year so it’s hard ignore such a horse who is now rated 63. He might be a quirky sort but cheekpieces seemed to suit him last time and if he wasn’t so poorly placed early on he may have enjoyed a different result as it was quite a messy race. At 13/2 today he looks a decent bet and I hope he can regain the winning thread.
