Born in 1920 in Ireland, Easter Hero ran just once, unplaced before being sold to a Mr Bartholomew who trained his own horses, although perhaps not very well. Easter Hero ran eight times in 18 months for his new connections and fell on three of them and was pulled up on another after an horrendous mistake had left him tailed off. He did, however, win a modest race at Manchester and run a good second at Sandown before Bartholomew went bust and had to sell his assets.
