Crowds FRIDAY of the November meeting is an very good day to visit Cheltenham for the first time if you’ve never been. Excellent racing and a racecourse designed for the festival with just a fraction of the people in attendance is the perfect combination. The bookmakers were out in force and kept busy, though not to massive stakes, at least in the opening Markel Insurance Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle.
