Richard Eagle finds plenty of positives out and about in the southern yards

Afew years ago trainer Richard Phillips had an idea which he believed may spark fresh interest in horse racing in the UK. The concept was for stable yards around the country to open their gates to the public for a few hours over one week. His thoughts were that so many possible racing enthusiasts were unaware of what goes on everyday in the world of horse racing.
